Each show brings together diverse LGBT people to discuss mental health issues affecting our everyday lives. Intention for the Show
If there was one thing that we would like to accomplish with the Living Openly show is for people across the world to know, you are not alone. Our hope is, we come to see the questions, situations, and problems we face, connect us more than they divide. As we share our individual truths, we come to see ourselves reflected in each other and realize we all want to be seen, heard and know that we matter.
Representation Matters
There is a lack of media representation for people who are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Questioning, Asexual, or Intersex. The good news is, people are craving this content, especially on YouTube. By the end of 2017, LGBT related content on YouTube is expected to reach 5 billion views! In fact, Living Openly was inspired by stories like the documentary 'Bridegroom', the ultimate heartbreaking love story of two young men who were brought together in life yet torn apart at death.
